Discover and live a unique experience!” is the slogan of the Douro Passport, the project that CIMDOURO has developed to promote the 19 municipalities that make up the region. The Douro Passport is an action that aims to show the Douro in its many forms, choosing monuments, culture and people as the most important aspects of this immense region of world heritage and immeasurable potential in the country and the world. It is also an initiative aimed at boosting tourism in the Douro.<\/p>


With partnerships with the Douro and Porto Wine Institute and Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal, CIMDOURO believes that these entities add an extraordinary dimension to the Douro Passport and increase the certainty of success that it has formulated for it.<\/p>


The Douro Passport is a project based on a simple but dynamic and essentially very practical idea. In other words, visitors to the Douro can download the Discover Douro APP or obtain the Douro Passport in the interactive tourism stores of the 19 municipalities and start their journey to discover 76 points of interest in this geographical area of more than 4,000 square kilometers, which is the territory that makes up CIMDOURO.<\/p>

When passing through each of the 76 points of interest, the Passport is stamped, either physically or digitally, and once their “journey” through the CIMDOURO territory is complete, tourists will receive a certificate of excellence and an exclusive gift from the Douro and Porto Wine Institute. To help visitors, photos and promotional videos of the points of interest indicated by each municipality are available on the Discover Douro App.<\/p>
