Chapel of St. Quitéria

The small chapel of Santa Quitéria is known locally as the old Synagogue, which would have served the Jewish community settled in the Bairro do Castelo. It has a hexagonal plan with a single space, an arched portico and a hipped roof and was built in the 16th century. The patterned tiles that cover the interior, as well as the figurative panel on the outside over the main portal, depicting the "Annunciation", date from the 17th century.
