"Casa da Roda" Museum

The "Casa da Roda" museum is located in the medieval center, close to the Misericórdia church, in Torre de Moncorvo. Of rural Trás-os-Montes architecture, it has an outdoor porch and a small window, with the date 1785. The rounded shape where the wheel used to operate is visible inside. The Museum nucleus is divided into two floors, on the first floor, the space is redecorated at the time and with the same environment in which the 'rodeira' and 'rodeiro' collected children, right at the entrance, there are two cribs where they were the exhibits were placed, the wheel dressed in period costumes and a suitcase with the children's clothes. The kitchen has a “Cantareira” cabinet; scano with laziness, as well as all the utensils for preparing and preparing meals used at the time (dishes, iron pans, clay pitchers, among others). The last space, designated as the Roda de Moncorvo's room, features an iron bed and a copy of the record book of those on display at the Roda de Moncorvo.
