Description
Casa de Quintãs, located in the picturesque parish of Guiães, in the municipality of Vila Real, is in the demarcated region of the Douro, a wine and olive oil producing region par excellence. It dates back to 1937 and was built by the Faria family. It currently belongs to one of the heirs, who on his own initiative adapted it for tourism. This farmhouse has always been involved in the production of wine for consumption and fine wine (Port), as well as olive oil. For the normal and proper development of this activity, it has mills and warehouses suitable for the production of this precious nectar and a traditional olive oil mill, over 100 years old, for processing the olives.
The house has six bedrooms, the most emblematic of which is "Carolina", which was the first classroom in this characteristic Douro wine-growing village. The owners are committed to providing their visitors with well-being and comfort so that they can enjoy a pleasant stay.
