Description
On the urban perimeter of the parish of Freixo de Numão is the Casa Grande Museum, housed in a beautiful Baroque manor house (second half of the 18th century).
This museum brings together the archaeological collection that comes from archaeological campaigns and documents the human presence in this territory from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages, with the main focus on the Roman period.
The Museum currently includes the Casa do Moutinho nucleus, a museum space that houses a collection of Ethnography and local history, where you can see agricultural implements, objects linked to baking, shepherding, wine production, olive oil and almonds, among others.
