Description
Caves Santa Marta have excellent facilities in the former Warehouse 0022, which belonged to Casa do Douro, to offer you a guided tour of the old distilleries and Port wine cellars. Here you can see, in a quiet and welcoming atmosphere, the glass vats with a capacity of 2,500,000 liters or the set of three imposing copper stills, with a system of boilers heated by wood and covered in refractory brick, and some pieces of museum interest, all while tasting and getting to know the wines from this space. It also has a large rustic dining room for groups of visitors, where they can enjoy a friendly atmosphere and better appreciate the regional cuisine. The necessary conditions have been created so that visitors can enjoy the elements of tradition and rurality of this vernacular heritage of which they are custodians.
