Corgo Natural Trails/Paths

Description

The first phase of the Corgo Nature Trails is now complete. The trail has been open to the public since November 20, 2020 and stretches for approximately 1 km, between Bairro dos Ferreiros and Vila Velha. When the entire project is completed, the routes will connect the two sides of the city through a prime urban green space, Parque Corgo, and link the city center to the largest botanical garden in Iberia, UTAD's Eco Campus. They will also make it possible to enjoy the natural beauty and biodiversity that characterize that area of the city. The future museum space of the Biel Power Station, recognized as one of the first power stations to supply the public grid in the country, will be one of the major beneficiaries of this intervention, which includes the restoration of the access trails to the power station, making it a must-see.
