Description
The Araújo Coutinho Manor House is a striking example of old Portuguese noble architecture. It is located in the historic centre of Vila da Ponte, in Sernancelhe, in the district of Viseu.
It was built in the 13th century by the Counts of Lapa, from the Soverais and Vasconcellos families.
In the 16th century, it was remodelled and enlarged by the Coutinho family, and is associated with D. Manuel de Sousa Coutinho.
