Description
It is a small church located in the center of the village of Marmelal. Despite the small size of its architecture, the building stands out for the richness of its integrated heritage: the coffered ceiling in gilded and polychrome carving, with oil-painted panels and the main altarpiece, also in gilded and polychrome carving, which integrates Mannerist and Baroque elements. The Chapel of Nossa Senhora Das Neves was classified as a monument of public interest in December 2012, due to its religious testimony, aesthetic, technical and material value.
