Description
Set in a small walled churchyard with a floor covered with marble fragments, this chapel has a rectangular floor plan and faces west. The flat lintel of the entrance is inscribed with the date 1727 and is the only element capable of dating the chapel, since the architectural memory provides little or no indication of its chronological or stylistic affiliation. The wrought-iron entrance door, lined with steel sheeting, is accompanied by two rectangular, barred side shutters. It has no ashlar or concrete cornice and a plinth with a simple turned cross emerges from the gable roof cut off at the top of the façade. The plasterboard image of Saint Anne, which is currently in the parish church, is said to have been taken from its interior. Around the chapel you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Berço D'Ouro.
