Description
The small chapel, built in the 19th century, stands at the top of a natural hill. It has a granite niche in an enclosure resting on a schist outcrop. From here you can enjoy a panoramic view over the whole region, from the Serra da Marofa, with Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo at its foot, to Spain, in the area of Freixo de Espada à Cinta, as well as lands on the other side of the Douro, such as Urros, Peredo dos Castelhanos and also Almendra, Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Santo Amaro, Nª Sr.ª da Assunção (Vilas Boas, Vila Flor), Lousa and finally a panoramic view of the old town of Castelo Melhor and its castle.
