Lamego Urban Park

The city of Lamego has a new Urban Park, a space that favors sports, leisure and environmental education. The Municipality of Lamego has just opened the first phase of the city's new green lung to the public in an area previously occupied by a set of abandoned and unqualified plots of land on the banks of the Coura stream, joined in the middle by Praça Dr. Fernando Amaral. "We want it to be 𝘂𝗺 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰̧𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗼𝘀 and a new centrality for Lamego, in harmony with the Mata dos Remédios located right next door. Aimed at leisure and socializing, it is equipped with various facilities that make it a benchmark park in the region, in an investment aligned with a more sustainable relationship with the environment," says Mayor Francisco Lopes. The Lamego Urban Park includes the construction of various infrastructures aimed at 𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗮 the people of Lamego. As part of the urban ecological structure, it will have pedestrian paths, a support bar with sanitary blocks, a children's playground, an open-air amphitheater, community gardens, a pump track for bicycles, two multi-sports areas, a grandstand for shows and a senior circuit with equipment suitable for senior citizens.
