Description
The Almond Blossom Festival is the biggest event celebrated in Vila Nova de Foz Côa. It has been held annually since 1980, between the last fortnight of February and the first week of March, with a diverse programme designed for all ages. This festival culminates in an ethnographic/allegorical parade, which attracts thousands of visitors and tourists to the county seat. The parade depicts the experiences of the county, its customs and traditions from times gone by.
In 2026, the Almond Blossom Festival will take place from 14 February to 8 March, with a vast programme that includes free concerts, various activities and tours promoted by various local associations, among other events.
