Hedgehog and Chestnut Trails

PR2 - Trails of the Hedgehog and Chestnut, a route whose central theme are the fens and the rural environment that surrounds them, along it, the visitor can appreciate the biodiversity of the flora and fauna characteristic of this region, a real delight for nature lovers. However, in addition to the nature component, "hikers" are invited to discover the living testimonies of our history, to discover the vast archaeological, religious and artistic heritage, from which stand out, the Castle and Pelourinho de Penedono, several religious buildings and, its sacred art and, the Sanctuary of Santa Eufémia, place of faith and tranquility, site of the second largest religious pilgrimage in the South Douro region.
