Its construction began in the 17th century, a period that is conveyed to us by the 17th century tiles and the year 1683 engraved inside the chancel.
The church has a gilded high altar dating from the 18th century and wooden images, including the crucified Christ, the Lord of the Steps and the martyr Saint Sebastian.
